Here is a new fix for those of you who are playing games with high FPS but still have stuttering, lags, FPS drops, etc… having a NVIDIA card, and have tried almost everything on the Internet. The fix is not just for CS:GO, players playing other games can give this a try if they are experiencing similar problems.
First see if your games have these symptoms:
- The game is not smooth even with high FPS (300+), at 144 Hz, and no Vsync. When Vsync is turned on, it’s smooth.
- Choppy players animations
- Hard to spray
- Shitty hitreg
- Inconsistent aim
How to fix:
- First download NvidiaProfileInspector
- Open NvidiaProfileInspector and select Counter Strike: Global Offensive from the dropdown menu
- Find this setting: Frame Rate Limiter Mode in Sync and Refresh and set it to _DELAY_FLIP_BY_FLIPMETERING (or _ALLOW_ALL)
- Apply changes
- Start CS:GO and check if the problems still persist
- This step is another tweak you can try to see if it makes the game better. It will enable your network controller for network tasks offlload – decrease input lag for some systems
- Press Win+R. Type “regedit”, and press enter
- Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
- Set DisableTaskOffload to 0 (or create if does not exist DWORD 32bit)
- Restart your PC
- Also to receive the full benefits, you need to disable ALL g-sync options in nvidia inspector like the following picture (red lines)
